Sealants are used to fill narrow grooves in a tooth that cannot be adequately cleaned by brushing. In some cases, the tooth structure has fine grooves or pits which accumulate plaque, not because the person doesn’t brush, but because they’re too narrow to allow even one bristle into them. To avoid cavaties developing over time, the dentist will brush on a coating that seals the grooves and pits, making it possible to brush off all the plaque and keep your teeth healthy.
Dental sealant is a thin, plastic coating painted on the chewing surfaces of teeth — usually the back teeth (the premolars and molars) — to prevent tooth decay. The sealant quickly bonds into the depressions and grooves of the teeth, forming a protective shield over the enamel of each tooth.

I forgot her name but the lady I had was great. I had been going here my whole life and a couple years ago I noticed a brown spot on my tooth, but never thought to ask about it because I figured they would clean it if they could. Well no one cleaned it so I thought it was permanent, but this week(after going through probably 4 cleaning sessions), she had no problem with the stain and took care of it in a matter of seconds! she is very thorough and makes sure she doesn’t miss a spot. would definitely recommend her.

I had my teeth cleaned yesterday at Center Point. It was my first time with Joan, she was professional and excellent! I’ve got some follow up work to be done that was noticed in X-rays and her close inspection of my teeth as she cleaned them. I have been going to Center Point Dental for 18 or so years and it is always a great experience even if the dentist is not your favorite place.
